Our Story: How Copper Ace Electric Began
Chris's electrical experience began in 2014, when he first began learning the trade from a meticulous master electrician running a family-owned business in northern Alabama. His boss taught him well and never cut corners; he always highlighted the importance of doing work right, the first time. This training, combined with Chris's aptitude for electrical troubleshooting and solutions, propelled him into the electrical trade indefinitely.
After he married his wife, Abby, they took a break from the face-paced life in the United States and spent six months in Africa as volunteers. During this time, Chris ran maintenance for a nonprofit organization and assisted with its well-drilling operations in rural Democratic Republic of Congo. Although the couple eventually evacuated the country due to safety concerns, their time of service was an unforgettable experience that carries purpose into their lives today.
Five years down the road, life brought the couple to West Virginia’s eastern panhandle in order to be closer to family and the community here. Chris ran service calls for two electrical companies over the next six years, achieving a journeyman, and then a master license.

Today, Chris is a licensed electrical contractor with over 12 years of experience in the electrical trade.
Whether traveling over the Congo River by dugout across the world or scaling a ladder to change a light fixture in our neighborhood, the purpose that ignited our present-day company has remained a constant: to bring work ethic, integrity, and excellence into every aspect of life's journey.
